So Good So You - HVAC Chiller Pad

Randahl Construction completed a precision HVAC chiller pad installation for So Good So You in Inver Grove Heights, MN. The project involved constructing a specialized cooling unit support pad engineered to handle equipment weighing up to 4,500 lbs. Our team excavated and prepared the site with a 6-inch minimum gravel/sand base layer, followed by installation of 4-inch EPS rigid insulation to provide frost protection in Minnesota’s freeze-thaw climate. The 10-inch concrete pad was poured using 4,500 psi high-strength concrete with 3/8″ maximum aggregate and 6.5% air entrainment for enhanced durability. Double #4 rebar runs continuously top and bottom, with additional #4 rebar at 12″ on center for structural reinforcement. All edges were chamfered for a professional finish, and dimensions were verified with mechanical specifications to ensure precise equipment placement. The project was completed with full site cleanup, delivering a robust and long-lasting foundation for So Good So You’s cooling operations.
