The Construction Management Project Stages

Construction Management MinnesotaThe first function of our Construction management process is to sit down with you "our client” along with your team and begin identifying your specific project goals, objectives, and plans including the project scope, budgeting, scheduling and even choosing the project participants. Once this is clearly defined we typically like to bring in our subcontractors to take an on-site walk-through ensuring the we bring our most accurate numbers to the table and they get a feel for the project. In this stage we will also work with you to design your project that meets all building codes and regulations. Preliminary drawings are also beginning at this stage of the process really bringing the project to life. We use these sketches to identify spaces, shapes, colors textures etc. Contract Documents or the Final contract documents are presented later in the process and can also be called working documents.

Project Procurement

Using our network of carefully selected subcontractors and suppliers we maximize our resource efficiency providing our clients with the best products, labor and materials specific to their project demands. Over the years we have built strong and close relations with our team of subcontractors creating a synergy offering our customers the absolute best craftsmanship in the industry.
We monitor the performance of all trade contractors and we're responsible for ensuring that all work is completed on schedule. Randahl Construction Management determines the best way to get materials to the building site and the most cost-effective plan and schedule for completing the project. We divide all required construction site activities into logical steps, budgeting the time required to meet established deadlines. This requires sophisticated estimating and scheduling techniques using computers with specialized software.

Let the Construction Begin

Once all of the above stages are thoroughly accomplished the construction can begin. Pre-construction meetings are key at Randahl Construction and we know it’s our responsibility that everyone involved in the project is on the same page from start to finish. We make sure all the important topics are discussed before the work begins including work hours, site access, quality control, and material storage.  These extra steps that we take at Randahl Construction to ensure that everything is discussed and on the table before the work begins.
Randahl Construction Managers can oversee an entire project or just part of one. We schedule and coordinate all design and construction processes from the selection, hiring, and oversight of specialty trade subcontractors - to turnkey construction, expansion, or remodeling of your facility as the General Contractor.
