The Project
The scope of this job was anything but simple. Our team was tasked with constructing a 15′ x 16′ x 6′ 8″ reinforced concrete silo pad capable of bearing the load of a massive industrial silo. From start to finish, this project required precise coordination, engineered execution, and strict adherence to the project drawings and building code requirements.
Work began with obtaining the building permit and coordinating all required inspections — something our team handles routinely so our clients don’t have to. From there, we saw cut and removed existing asphalt and concrete, then excavated five feet below grade to reach the structural bearing depth required by the engineered drawings.
The Details Matter

- Installing all Grade 60 rebar per engineered drawings
- Using dry compactable fill material with compaction testing performed on-site
- Placing expansion material at all existing walls

- Coordinating rebar inspections, compaction testing, and concrete testing throughout
All dirt and debris were hauled away daily, and the site was kept clean and safe with traffic control and barricades maintained throughout the project.
