St. Paul Beverage Solutions - Industrial Concrete Silo Pad Installation

Randahl Construction completed a heavy-duty industrial silo foundation for St. Paul Beverage Solutions at their facility in Saint Paul, MN, delivering a full turnkey concrete solution engineered to support a 60,000-gallon silo. Our crew self-performed all phases of the project, starting with permit acquisition, traffic control, and coordination of all required inspections throughout the duration of the job. Site preparation included saw-cutting and removing existing asphalt and concrete slabs, followed by excavation to 5 feet below grade and complete removal and hauling of all displaced soil from the site. Dry compactable material was brought in and compaction-tested to establish a stable, code-compliant subbase before any formwork began. The centerpiece of the scope was a 15’×16’×6’8″ silo pad poured with 4,500 PSI concrete, reinforced with all Grade 60 rebar per engineered drawings, and finished with a concrete sealer per project specifications. Expansion material was installed at all existing walls, and special inspections — including compaction testing, rebar inspection, and concrete testing — were rigorously coordinated throughout each phase. Randahl Construction managed every detail from permitting through final site cleanup, ensuring the finished foundation met the structural demands of a large-scale industrial liquid storage application.
